The Matty Nelms Tour for Colon Cancer Awareness
The Mission
Starting this July, Benson MacGregor will bike self-supported from Banff, Alberta to Toronto, Ontario.
The mission of Ride For Your Rear is to raise awareness for colon cancer and fundraise in memory of a remarkable friend. All proceeds will go directly to The Dr. Matty Nelms Foundation, supporting young adults suffering from cancer.
In July 2024, we lost Matt Nelms to colon cancer. Matt’s strength, humour, and unshakable spirit inspired everyone around him to push beyond their limits and embrace life. This ride is both a tribute to Matt and a personal test of endurance — physically and mentally — for Benson. Every kilometre will be ridden with Matt in his heart.
We’re also inviting anyone across the country to join the ride — whether it's for an hour, a day, or a few legs of the journey. We’d love to meet you, share stories, and ride together.
